This technology provides rapid curing of specialty silicone solutions at room temperature. For manufacturing medical devices, UV cure technology-based specialty silicone products such as the Addisil UV 60 EX elastomer provide a perfect solution. The advanced cure technology helps deliver high purity output with low amounts of extractables.
Silicone is a suitable material for healthcare applications and the UV cure technology will allow medical device manufacturers to use a wide range of ingredients in silicone blends.
